To be clear, this Cub Reporter (Mike Konkel) firmly believes that America is by far the best nation on earth. I am not a world traveler by any definition, so my perspective is limited and certainly subject to critical review.
I recently read the comments of a very successful professional basketball player – a young person living “A Dream Life of Fame, Fortune and World Travel”. A life totally unattainable by almost all of her fellow countrymen. Her laundry list of the failings of America was seemingly never ending and delivered with a tone / tenor that portrayed a not so thinly veiled hatred for her country. Another prominent player – living a similar life today – but having grown up in a communist / oppressive country had a bit of a different take. America has work to do – but it is absolutely the best in the world!!!! Same planet but such different “World Views”!!
The Term “World View” is fascinating – more in a future pondering.
